Material & Design Details
Etna Lava Pebble is a volcanic stone created from molten lava that flowed from a volcano. As the lava cooled and solidified, escaping gases formed numerous surface holes, giving the stone its characteristic porous appearance. During the solidification process, the structure sealed itself internally, resulting in high porosity but very limited permeability, as the holes are not interconnected.
With its basaltic composition, Etna Lava Pebble offers excellent resistance to chemicals and environmental exposure. Because the surface pores are not connected, sand or dust carried by wind does not penetrate deeply and can be easily blown away, making the material exceptionally low maintenance.
This stone performs particularly well in humid and tropical climates, as it naturally resists fungal growth. It is frequently used in garden landscaping, overflow areas, drainage zones, and various decorative applications where durability, texture, and natural volcanic character are desired.
